xPression® from Document Sciences Receives EMC Designed for Documentum Accreditation

Carlsbad, CA (May 20, 20050 - Document Sciences (NASDAQ: DOCX), the leader in dynamic content publishing solutions, today announced that its flagship xPression is now available on the EMC Documentum 5.3 platform, the world's first major enterprise content management (ECM) offering based on a completely unified architecture, and has received the EMC Designed for Documentum designation, a mark of quality and value that customers insist on in enterprise applications. The integration of xPression's powerful content publishing technology with the Documentum 5.3 provides insurers, financial services organizations and other large enterprises access to an unparalleled solution for document creation, distribution, archival and management.

The integration enables users to automate rules-based assembly of small content objects into sophisticated, customized, compliant business communications. With xPression 2.1, documents can be automatically assembled and delivered in high volume, incorporating data from a line of business system, such as a business administration system or eForm, and the content can be managed in the Documentum repository. Ad-hoc documents, such as customer service correspondence, can also be created. Generated content can be delivered to multi-channel distribution engines and archived and managed in the Documentum repository.
