CARLSBAD, CA (May 4, 2006) - Document Sciences Corporation (NASDAQ: DOCX), a global leader and innovator in automating the creation and delivery of personalized enterprise communications for print, email and online distribution, announced it has entered into an agreement with customer communications design firm Strategic Solutions, LLC, to provide complete customer communications solutions built around Document Sciences' award-winning xPression® dynamic content publishing suite and its latest design component, xPresso™ for Adobe® InDesign®. Together, the two companies will help customers create individually customized marketing collaterals, correspondence, and transactional documents.
According to George Williams, Strategic Solutions' president, "The convergence of customer need, corporate awareness, and technological advancement presents a rare communications opportunity for organizations today. Customers, faced with an ever-increasing barrage of incoming mail and a bewildering array of website content, want communications that are relevant to their particular needs. Companies, increasingly concerned about ROI, must achieve the maximum return for their communications investment."
Document Sciences' xPression and its design tool for Adobe InDesign provide powerful design features that enable organizations to quickly create customized collaterals, catalogs and other promotional pieces containing relevant information based upon a customer's unique profile and preferences. The xPression suite also streamlines the creation of well-designed relationship statements and billing notices that combine transactional data with targeted marketing messages.
"For the past 15 years, Strategic Solutions has been designing documents that take the fullest advantage of the most sophisticated publishing software and printing systems on the market," states Neal Keene, Vice President of Channels at Document Sciences. "Ten years ago, they were the first design firm to guide their clients into the adoption of rules driven document assembly software for managing complex libraries of highly customized correspondence. As a result of this experience, Strategic Solutions is the logical design partner to help our customers take complete advantage of xPression's power and flexibility."
