Arrowhead General Insurance Agency Reports Improved Time-To-Market and Higher Document Quality Using Document Sciences' xPression
6/4/2007, 9:00AM ET
CARLSBAD, CA (June 4, 2007) -- Document Sciences Corporation (NASDAQ: DOCX), a global market leader in providing customer communications management solutions, announced today that Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, one of the largest privately held general agencies in the US, has experienced faster time-to-market of new products by as much as 50% since implementing Document Sciences' award-winning xPression® software suite. xPression empowers organizations to produce highly personalized 1:1 customer communications for clients and agents for delivery via multiple distribution channels including print, email, and the Web. Arrowhead General reports that it has improved document quality, overall presentation and time-to-market since integrating xPression into its organization.
Operating in 35 states and offering quality products to 4,000+ independent producers, Arrowhead General's products include personal auto and home, workers compensation, construction, public risk, general liability, commercial auto, DIC and professional liability. As the company expanded through acquisition and organic growth, it used a range of technologies for policy administration and other back office functions, resulting in the need for Arrowhead General to standardize document production and have more control over its document composition and distribution operations.
"We continually push the envelope in all areas of technology utilization throughout the enterprise," states Stephen Boyd, Chief Information Officer, Arrowhead General. "We preferred a Java foundation for our environment, and xPression offered the Web-based architecture we needed to consolidate our output and improve the general look and feel of communications."
Arrowhead General notes that since implementing xPression, the time it takes to create new document applications or change current applications has been significantly reduced. With xPression, business users have taken greater ownership over application changes, minimizing IT's involvement in design and maintenance of document applications. Moving forward, Arrowhead General will continue to leverage xPression's integration capabilities by incorporating the technology into its sales portal, Arrowhead Exchange, as well as improving document quality by continually consolidating its document production onto xPression. "We expect to use xPression throughout all of our lines of business," said Boyd. "We are getting products to market faster by using xPression as our enterprise solution."
"Arrowhead General has taken full advantage of xPression's J2EE architecture and highly intuitive user interfaces to simplify document design and streamline processes for its agents," states Liza Smith, Vice President, Document Sciences. "By integrating xPression into the Arrowhead Exchange portal, Arrowhead General's agents will be able to improve the customer experience and increase revenue opportunities with highly personalized documents in real-time."
Stephen Boyd will be presenting on Arrowhead General's utilization of xPression during the Chief Information/Technology Officer Roundtable, taking place during the IASA 2007 Conference in the Minneapolis Convention Center, June 5, 2007.
