Partnership Provides Optional Pre-Configured Forms Library to Customers

CARLSBAD, CA and RIVERWOODS, IL (May 19, 2003) - Document Sciences Corporation (NASDAQ: DOCX), a proven leader and innovator in automating creation and delivery of enterprise business communications, and CCH INSURANCE SERVICES, a division of CCH INCORPORATED, and a leading provider of regulatory forms and legal databases for the insurance industry, today announced a strategic partnership.

Under the terms of the agreement, CCH INSURANCE SERVICES will provide an electronic forms library service compatible with xPression™, Document Sciences' universal content processing suite for the enterprise. The electronic forms library service will lower customer production costs, speed project completion time, and reduce customer exposure from use of outdated or non-compliant forms.

"Today's insurance carriers are faced with ever-increasing regulatory requirements that slow time to market and increase costs," said Jack McGannon, President and CEO of Document Sciences. "By providing optional integrated, pre-populated forms through our partnership with CCH INSURANCE SERVICES, we can help insurers meet labor intensive forms requirements quickly and accurately."

"We are pleased to provide this offering to Document Sciences' customers," said Tony Boschetto, Chief Operations Officer, CCH INSURANCE SERVICES. "Our forms solution is a crucial piece for insurers that combines with xPression to provide users a complete system that can be quickly implemented."
