Dive deeper into the workings of xPression 2.x learning about the architecture of the universal content processing services from EMC Document Sciences. Developed for the certification of the IT and System Administration Professionals, this course goes into the fine details of integration and application of xPression to meet your current business needs that including streamlining business workflows, meeting compliance requirements, and supporting real-time and high volume multi-channel publishing. Learn troubleshooting tricks and valuable data and document design best practices for performance enhancement. Additionally, you will be introduced to the full suite of xPression applications including xPression Administration, Design, Response, Revise, and Enterprise Application Integration hooks.

Who Should Attend:

This course is designed for individuals who participate in configuring, administering, and troubleshooting document design in a Universal Content Processing Services (UCPS) environment. Participants will learn the detailed architecture of the xPression system and its components. Hands-on exercises teach critical aspects of the architectural design and system integration including administrative set-up using xPression Administration and custom integration applications such as Java Framework APIs.

Prerequisites:

  • An intermediate understanding of the following areas is highly desirable:
    • Relational Databases such as Oracle, or DB2, or SQL Server
    • Document Processing
    • Application Server based applications
    • XML and XML schemas
  • Microsoft® Word 2000 or higher functionality, including the use of styles
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft® Windows® NT, 2000 or higher
  • Extreme familiarity with PC operations
